Noctua announces new thermal pad for AMD chips in partnership with Carbice — product will work with processors in AM5 and AM4 sockets

Noctua is launching its first thermal pad, the NT-CP1 AM5/4 Carbice carbon nanotube pad, as Carbice’s exclusive retail distributor.

The pad is designed for AMD Ryzen CPUs in AM5 and AM4 sockets and will debut at Computex before shipping in September.

It aims to be a long-lasting, maintenance-free alternative to thermal paste, reducing upkeep for builders and enthusiasts.

Noctua may also help develop future versions, potentially including support for Intel chips.
