Niconico Video launches an experimental feature where AI posts comments that also flow over the video

Dwango launched a roughly one-month experimental feature on the PC version of Nico Nico Douga that lets AI characters automatically post comments on videos.

Uploaders can choose from eight AI characters, and can delete or hide the AI comments if needed.

Viewers can watch videos with AI comments included, but those comments are excluded from ranking calculations.

The company says the AI comments will not be used for training.
