Anthropic equips Claude Cowork with its own built-in browser, allowing it to be used alongside "Claude in Chrome"

Anthropic is rolling out a built-in browser for Claude Cowork on desktop.

Paid Pro, Max, and Teams users on Windows, macOS, and Linux can set it as their default browser option.

Claude in Chrome remains available for tasks that require the user’s logged-in browser context.

The split makes web automation easier to start while keeping personal browsing context separate for flexibility and privacy.
