Why Samsung is Finally Changing the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Design

Samsung is reportedly planning a wider Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide variant that shifts the foldable toward better affordability and versatility.

The new model may use a smaller battery, redesigned displays, an updated ultrawide camera, Qi2 magnetic charging, and possibly S Pen support.

That would mean some flagship hardware trade-offs, including a likely camera downgrade, to lower costs and broaden appeal.

The move could help Samsung compete more directly with Apple’s rumored foldable while expanding the mainstream foldable market.
