Google sped up the Android rollout of Google Health 5.0 for early Fitbit Air buyers.

The update replaced the Fitbit app and was needed to finish setup and pairing on Android.

Fitbit Air units were arriving before many users had the required app update.

The timing gap temporarily blocked some buyers from activating the new fitness tracker.
