Windows Update will soon automatically roll back faulty drivers

Microsoft is introducing Cloud-Initiated Driver Recovery, a Windows Update feature that can automatically roll back faulty drivers to previously working versions.

The feature is being tested with hardware partners now and is expected to begin rolling out in September.

Microsoft says the change should reduce driver-related failures and make Windows updates less disruptive for users and vendors.
