GitHub Copilot will switch to a usage-based billing model on June 1.

Base subscription prices stay the same, but each plan will include AI Credits tied to its tier.

Users who run advanced or long coding sessions will need to buy additional credits.

GitHub will add billing previews in May and give temporary promo credits to business and enterprise customers.
