DoorDash Unveils Its Own Drone Delivery Service After FAA Approval

DoorDash received FAA Part 135 certification, clearing the way for its in-house drone delivery service, DoorDash Air.

The company built the drones and supporting systems internally, while still working with outside partners in the drone ecosystem.

Commercial deliveries are planned to begin this fall, giving DoorDash a direct role in autonomous delivery operations.

The move could speed up mid-range orders and expand DoorDash’s network alongside human couriers and robots.
