Legendary Qualcomm, Apple, and Nuvia alumni form new CPU startup — Nuvacore promises to 'rewrite the rules of silicon'

Former Apple, Nuvia, and Qualcomm architects have launched Nuvacore, a new CPU startup backed by Sequoia Capital.

The company plans to build a general-purpose CPU core from scratch for data center and AI infrastructure.

Nuvacore is focusing on high performance and area efficiency, aiming at workloads where existing server chips may fall short.

The startup has not disclosed which instruction set architecture it will use.
