Video: China's SamuRoid humanoid robot offers smarter interactions in a compact form

Shenzhen-based XiaoR GEEK Technology has unveiled SamuRoid, a compact humanoid robot with multimodal AI.

Built on a Raspberry Pi 4 and ROS, it uses a camera, microphone, and AI models to follow voice commands, track objects, and even dance.

The robot is aimed at researchers and developers, with multiple hardware versions plus balance sensors, grippers, and modular expansion.

SamuRoid highlights how open-source robotics, vision, voice, and large language models are making small humanoid robots more capable and interactive.
