Nvidia boosts its influence in Washington by forming a PAC, telling employees that congressional decisions over the coming years could have substantial consequences for the AI industry, according to a report

Nvidia is expanding its political influence in Washington by creating an employee-funded federal political action committee (PAC).

The PAC can collect up to $5,000 annually from eligible employees and support candidates and party committees from either party.

Nvidia has increased lobbying spending and hired political and government-affairs specialists, while engaging multiple outside firms.

The expanded operation could give Nvidia more influence over AI regulation, semiconductor trade, export controls, infrastructure, education, and workforce policy.
