AWS Middle East (UAE) Region hit by drone attack, recovery expected to take months

AWS said its Middle East (UAE) cloud region, ME-CENTRAL-1, was damaged in the conflict and can no longer reliably run customer applications.

Some workloads are still operating, but AWS has paused billing and warned full recovery could take several months.

Customers are being urged to migrate workloads and prepare backups as the region remains unstable.

The outage affects a key regional cloud hub for the Middle East, increasing operational risk for dependent services.
