Apple's first waterproof iPad expected to launch in the second half of 2026

Apple is reportedly planning the first water-resistant iPad mini for late 2026, possibly as soon as October.

The redesigned model may remove speaker holes by using vibration-based audio, helping achieve water protection.

It is also expected to switch to an OLED display, with an A19 Pro chip possibly powering the device.

If true, the waterproofing would make the iPad mini more useful near water and strengthen its appeal against e-readers.
