Microsoft expands Copilot in Edge with new AI tools

Microsoft is embedding Copilot directly into Edge on desktop and mobile, turning the browser into a key surface for its consumer AI.

The update adds multi-tab reasoning, browser memory, Vision, Voice, Journeys, study tools, writing help, quizzes, and podcast generation.

Microsoft is also retiring Copilot Mode, replacing the experiment with standard Edge integration.

The broader rollout expands Copilot’s reach across devices and makes Edge a more central part of Microsoft’s AI strategy.
