The long-awaited AirPods Max 2 have arrived.

They share the same design, weight, 20 hours of battery life, Smart Case, and reused colors from the USB‑C model as the previous AirPods Max.

AirPods Max 2 use the H2 chip; previous AirPods Max used the H1 chip.

A new high dynamic range amplifier delivers cleaner audio; ANC is up to 1.5x better, and Transparency mode sounds more natural thanks to an H2‑optimized DSP algorithm.

Spatial Audio has improved localization, more accurate bass, and more natural mids and highs; previous USB‑C and Lightning models are virtually identical except for the port.
