Fired hacker twins forget to end Teams recording, capture own crimes

Two fired twin brothers allegedly recorded themselves discussing how to delete databases, wipe backups, and alter DNS after breaking into a company network.

The accidental Teams recording also captured talk of contacting customers and hiding their access, offering direct evidence in the cybercrime case.

One brother was convicted at trial, while the other pleaded guilty, strengthening the prosecution’s case against both.

The brothers’ alleged activity included VPN and RDP access, customer-data pressure, and other steps tied to extortion attempts.
