‘Ask YouTube’ brings AI-powered conversational search to video, adds Gemini Omni to Shorts

YouTube is rolling out Ask YouTube, an AI-powered conversational search tool for follow-up questions on Shorts and long videos.

The feature is launching first for U.S. desktop Premium users.

YouTube is also adding Gemini Omni to Shorts Remix and YouTube Create to help with AI-assisted creation.

At the same time, it is expanding likeness-detection tools for creators 18 and older to help identify unauthorized AI impersonation.
