"Make Good Magic Sets," Wizards of the Coast Details Design Process Working With Marvel

Wizards of the Coast says Marvel took a mostly hands-off role in designing the Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes set.

Marvel mainly asked for a strong Magic set and approved Wizards’ broader creative and product decisions.

The expansion spans more than 600 cards across the main set, Commander decks, and side products, with new mechanics like Power-Up and Teamwork plus returning Connive and double-faced Hero cards.

The set releases June 26, with prerelease events beginning June 19.
