Apple supplier Foxconn confirms ransomware attack affected North American factories

Foxconn confirmed a cyberattack hit some of its North American factories after the Nitrogen ransomware group claimed responsibility.

Nitrogen said it stole 8 TB of company data, raising concerns about possible exposure of sensitive information.

Reports linked the incident to Foxconn facilities in Wisconsin and Texas, including sites in Mount Pleasant and Houston.

Foxconn says production is returning to normal, but the attack highlights supply-chain risks for major customers such as Apple, Dell, Google, and Nvidia.
