Comet autonomous warship packs missile strikes, 45-knot speed and 10,000-pound payload

BlackSea Technologies unveiled Comet, a 13.1-meter unmanned surface vessel built for high-speed missions near hostile shorelines.

The autonomous craft can top 45 knots and carry up to 10,000 pounds of weapons, sensors, and defensive systems.

Its displayed setup featured hardware from multiple defense suppliers, including strike missiles and air-defense interceptors.

BlackSea says Comet is designed for several naval roles in contested waters, from surface warfare to surveillance and mine countermeasures.
