We went hands-on with Qualcomm's new '$300 and up' ARM laptop platform with mystery eight-core CPU — active-cooled Snapdragon C laptop surfaces in Acer Aspire Go 15

At Computex 2026, Tom's Hardware spotted an Acer Aspire Go 15 demo using Qualcomm's unreleased low-cost Snapdragon C ARM platform.

Windows tools showed an eight-core chip with a 3.01 GHz base clock and integrated Adreno graphics, but Qualcomm has not confirmed the final name.

The 15-inch Windows 11 Pro ARM64 laptop is positioned as a cheaper ARM PC, with active cooling, up to 8 GB RAM, and up to 512 GB storage.

If performance and pricing are competitive, the platform could help bring Windows on ARM to more budget laptops.
