Mario Kart World Has Been Updated To Version 1.6.1, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Nintendo has released Mario Kart World version 1.6.1 for Switch 2 on April 9, 2026.

The patch fixes a bug where players could miss a speed boost after landing into a rail ride.

It also addresses a crash that could end the game when switching display modes after starting a multiplayer match with three or more players.

The update is a small stability pass following last month’s larger 1.6.0 balance-and-content update.
