Alibaba outlines Qwen3.8 with 2.4 trillion parameters

Alibaba’s Qwen team has previewed Qwen3.8, a model described as having 2.4 trillion parameters.

The preview build, Qwen3.8-Max-Preview, is already available through Token Plan, Qoder, and QoderWork.

Alibaba has not yet disclosed the architecture, training data, benchmarks, or full launch timeline.

The announcement marks another major step in Alibaba’s LLM push and could bring a very large new model to developers once weights are released.
