This small Gemini update solves a surprisingly big problem

Google is rolling out conversation branching in Gemini, letting users split a chat into a new thread.

The new branch carries forward only the context up to that point, making it easier to separate topics and keep chats organized.

The feature is currently available to a subset of users and is expanding gradually.

With this update, Gemini moves closer to the conversation management experience offered by ChatGPT and Claude.
