Amazon snaps up Oprah Winfrey’s podcast

Amazon will distribute new episodes of The Oprah Podcast twice a week starting in July across Prime Video, Amazon Music, Audible, and Fire TV.

The show will also be hosted under Wondery, while all 25 seasons of The Oprah Winfrey Show will be added to Amazon’s catalog in a still-unclear format.

The Oprah Podcast will remain available on YouTube and other platforms.

The deal strengthens Amazon’s celebrity podcast lineup and adds marquee Oprah content as competition in video podcasts heats up.
