Fired Tesla Manager Says Full Self-Driving Cars Were 'Rolling Hazards'

A former Tesla Houston Full Self-Driving safety manager says he was fired after warning that the team was understaffed and safety oversight was inadequate.

Javier Medrano alleges the workload exceeded Tesla’s stated manager-to-operator ratio and contributed to mishandling a crash.

He says Tesla retaliated when he tried to escalate the problems internally.

The lawsuit adds pressure on Tesla’s robotaxi and Full Self-Driving programs, which are already under regulatory scrutiny.
