Google AI Studio can now build Android apps, Android Studio adds iOS app porting

Google expanded AI Studio so users can build native Android apps directly in the browser, test them in an emulator, and then install or publish them internally.

Android Studio’s new Migration Assistant can help convert iOS, React Native, and web projects into native Android apps, lowering the work needed to port existing products.

Google also previewed tighter Play testing and Firebase integration, aiming to streamline the path from app creation to release.

The updates fit Google’s broader Compose-first strategy, pushing Android development closer to Jetpack Compose and Kotlin.
