Stolen patient data from Dutch firm ChipSoft destroyed after cyberattack

Dutch healthcare software firm ChipSoft says data stolen in an early-April ransomware attack has now been destroyed.

The company has not confirmed whether it paid the attackers, despite negotiations after the incident.

Several services were taken offline during response efforts, and recovery is said to be progressing smoothly.

A forensic investigation into how the attackers got in is still ongoing, with concern over possible patient data exposure.
