Lowering Medical Institutions' Payment Fees to 1.3% — STORES

STORES has started a special fee rate for medical institutions.

Single-specialty hospitals can use Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover and QUICPay at a 1.3% payment fee, reduced from the usual 1.98%+.

General hospitals, university hospitals, pharmacies, animal hospitals and cosmetic clinics are excluded.

The rate applies to applications made from April 1 onward; applications are accepted via the STORES official website.

STORES says the reduction aims to ease fee burdens that hinder cashless adoption in clinics and expects it to facilitate adoption, shorten wait times, improve hygiene via contactless payments and reduce register-closing work, accelerating medical DX.
