Scientists Need Your Help to Find Galaxies Bending Light in Space

Space Warps has launched a Zooniverse citizen-science hunt for gravitational lenses in Euclid’s first-year survey data.

AI first filters the Euclid dataset, then volunteers look for arcs and Einstein rings among about 72 million galaxies.

The search could uncover thousands of new lensing systems, vastly expanding the sample astronomers can study.

More lenses will help measure galaxy mass, map dark matter, and probe the distant Universe more precisely.
