Amazon refreshes shopping AI Rufus as "Alexa for Shopping," integrates it with Alexa+ and adds support for purchases on external sites

Amazon is replacing Rufus with Alexa for Shopping in the U.S., merging it with Alexa+ features and shopping data.

Users can ask shopping questions from the app search bar or Echo devices, compare products, track orders, set price alerts, and automate repeat purchases.

The assistant can also help buy from some external online stores, making Amazon’s shopping AI broader and more competitive.

The rollout has already begun in the U.S. and will reach all users over the coming weeks.
