U.S. Navy in Japan's official X, which was hijacked, has recovered its username and made a “full comeback”

The U.S. Navy command in Japan said its official X account, altered by a third party on the 27th, was restored on the 28th.

After the profile image and bio were recovered, the username was also returned to its original state.

The account is now fully back to normal after the hijacking incident.

The restoration matters because official account takeovers can spread misinformation and damage trust.
