Google launches early access to "Gemini for Home" in Japan

Google has launched early access to Gemini for Home in Japan, a new AI assistant designed for the home.

It is positioned to replace Google Assistant and adds better context handling, support for vague requests, and stronger smart-home control.

Users can also use it for shopping lists, camera video summaries, and natural-language search.

Eligible device owners can sign up through the Google Home app at no extra cost.
