TP-Link's first Wi-Fi 8 router is coming, if the FCC allows it

TP-Link unveiled a Wi-Fi 8 roadmap led by the Archer 8 router, with the Deco 8 mesh system and Roam 8 travel router to follow.

The Archer 8 is targeted for October 2026, which could make TP-Link one of the first companies to commercialize Wi-Fi 8.

But Wi-Fi 8 is still unfinished, and TP-Link has not yet secured the FCC approval needed to sell the router in the US.

US market access remains uncertain amid FCC scrutiny over TP-Link’s China ties and broader national security concerns.
