Shigeru Miyamoto said he told the Mario movie cast to avoid crude jokes and bodily humor.

He did not rule out Wario appearing in a future Nintendo-Illumination film.

The comments reinforce Nintendo’s family-friendly tone for its movie adaptations.

The next Nintendo-Illumination project is expected around 2028 and could feature Donkey Kong.
