ByteDance enters edtech with 'Cydance'... introduces AI video to learning app 'Gauss'

ByteDance has launched an AI learning feature called AI Course on its Gauth platform, using its video generation model SeaDance 2.5.

The service turns text lessons into cinematic AI videos, narration, and quizzes, starting with history and later expanding to science, social studies, and the humanities.

The move signals how generative AI can extend beyond entertainment into education content creation and personalized learning experiences.

ByteDance also said it will strengthen IP protections and safety measures amid copyright concerns.
