Giant “Last Titan” Dinosaur Discovered in Thailand Was Bigger Than 9 Elephants

Scientists identified Nagatitan chaiyaphumensis, a giant sauropod from northeastern Thailand.

The dinosaur is estimated at about 27 meters long and 27 tonnes, based on fossils found near a pond about a decade ago.

The discovery sets a new size record for Southeast Asia and may represent one of the region’s last large dinosaurs.

It also helps fill a gap in the dinosaur record from Thailand near the end of the age of dinosaurs.
