Claude’s creator Anthropic overtakes OpenAI at the IPO game

Anthropic has filed a confidential IPO registration with the U.S. SEC, allowing it to prepare for a public listing without revealing details yet.

The Claude maker is reportedly valued at $96.5 billion after its latest funding round and may sell about 5% to 10% of its shares.

The move puts Anthropic ahead of OpenAI in the race to become the first major AI model developer to go public.

Its listing could become a key benchmark for investor demand and valuations in the crowded AI IPO market.
