Clinical Trial For Brain Cancer Treatment Has Promising Results

A phase 1 trial of 5‑ALA plus low‑intensity ultrasound for recurrent GBM was published in Neuro‑Oncology in 2024.

The phase 1 study reported an average survival increase of over 14 months and no treatment‑related complications to date.

The trial has entered phase 2 and is enrolling newly diagnosed GBM patients while continuing standard surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
