WhatsApp is testing disappearing messages that wait for you to actually read them before vanishing

WhatsApp is testing an optional 'After Reading' timer for disappearing messages.

The message now expires after it is opened, rather than only from the time it is sent.

If a message is never opened, it still deletes after 24 hours.

The feature is being rolled out to some iOS beta testers via TestFlight, after earlier Android testing.
