PrismML released Bonsai Image 4B, a compact image-generation model based on FLUX.2 Klein 4B.

It uses 1-bit/ternary training to cut memory use sharply, making local inference much lighter.

A free iPhone app, Bonsai Studio, is also available for generating images on-device.

The launch highlights how aggressive compression can bring high-quality, private, offline image generation to smartphones.
