Corsair’s New 16-Pin Cable Shuts Down Your GPU The Moment The Connector Gets Too Hot, Works With Any 12V-2×6 PSU

Corsair launched the ThermalProtect PCIe 5.1 cable for 16-pin GPUs, rated for up to 600W.

The cable monitors connector temperature and can shut down power automatically if heat gets too high.

It works with PSUs that use a native 12V-2x6 connector, including models from MSI, ASRock, and ASUS.

The extra protection is aimed at reducing connector damage and GPU failure on power-hungry graphics cards.
