Google Pixel users are reporting severe battery drain and warmth after the April 2026 update, with some phones losing charge overnight even in airplane mode.

The issue appears to be system-level and may be preventing Deep Doze from working properly, affecting devices including Pixel 6 models.

Google says a fix is coming later but has not given a confirmed release date.

In the meantime, affected users are being advised to enable Extreme Battery Saver and turn off Always-on Display.
