OpenAI launches ChatGPT for personal finance, will let you connect bank accounts

OpenAI is previewing ChatGPT personal finance tools for U.S. Pro users, letting them connect bank and brokerage accounts through Plaid.

Users can ask ChatGPT about spending, budgets, subscriptions, portfolios, upcoming bills, and long-term financial goals.

The feature includes a finance dashboard plus controls to disconnect accounts and delete data.

OpenAI says the tools use stronger reasoning from GPT-5.5 and will be refined before a wider rollout, with future Intuit support planned.
