ByteDance’s Doubao AI assistant is testing its first paid subscription plans while keeping a free tier.

The monthly plans are priced at 68, 200, and 500 RMB, with annual options also available.

Paid users would get advanced, compute-heavy features such as PPT creation, data analysis, and video production.

The move signals ByteDance is starting to monetize one of China’s most popular AI apps and could intensify competition in the domestic AI assistant market.
