Galaxy Z Fold 8 can automatically unlock screen rotation when you open it up

Samsung has added a default One UI 9 behavior for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra that keeps rotation lock settings separate for the inner and outer displays.

When the phone is opened, the inner screen can rotate as preferred; when closed, the cover display can stay locked.

This cuts down on manual toggling and makes foldable use feel more natural.

The change is especially useful for tablet-like inner-display use cases such as video watching and gaming.
