OLED MacBook Pros Are Almost Here, and the Display Could Be Worth the Wait

Samsung Display has reportedly begun high-yield mass production of 8.6-generation OLED panels for Apple’s next MacBook Pro models.

The panels are intended for both 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro versions, with shipments possibly starting as early as next month.

If confirmed, the OLED switch would bring a major display upgrade to the MacBook Pro lineup and could mark a significant hardware refresh.

Higher OLED production costs could also put upward pressure on MacBook Pro prices.
