AWS Weekly Roundup: AWS DevOps Agent & Security Agent GA, Product Lifecycle updates, and more (April 6, 2026) | Amazon Web Services

AWS moved AWS DevOps Agent and AWS Security Agent from preview to general availability, adding two new production-ready AI agents for operations and security workflows.

AWS also expanded product lifecycle notices, covering services in maintenance, sunset, or reaching sunset to help customers plan upgrades and migrations.

The weekly roundup highlighted additional launches including ECS Managed Daemons, Sustainability console reporting, Bedrock AgentCore Evaluations, AWS Transform custom, and CloudWatch OpenTelemetry Container Insights.

Other updates included new Lightsail compute bundles and CloudFront SHA-256 support, which may affect architecture, cost, and delivery options.
