Spotify adopting Apple’s new video podcast tech for easier cross-platform publishing

Spotify will support Apple Podcasts’ HLS video format in Spotify for Creators and Megaphone.

Creators will be able to publish video podcasts to Spotify and Apple Podcasts without changing their workflow.

Spotify is also adding live video distribution support from more hosting providers.

The company says it is working on monetization support for Apple Podcasts-delivered video content.
