Google’s Live AI Search Feature Expands To More Languages Globally

Search Live has expanded to dozens more languages and is available across AI Mode–supported languages and locations in more than 200 countries and territories.

The feature was first announced in July 2025; it previously ran in the U.S. and India in English and Hindi and now includes Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and others.

Users can search using voice and camera by tapping the Live option in the Google app or Google Lens.

The expansion is powered by Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, an audio-focused AI model described as inherently multilingual with faster response speed.

Google is rolling out real-time translation to iOS so Google Translate can deliver real-time translations in headphones, expanding to 70+ languages and more countries; countries mentioned include Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand.
